Rapper T.I. will struggle to resurrect his career when his latest prison stint ends next year - new court documents show he won't be able to promote his music abroad as he will be banned from leaving the U.S.
The hip-hop star, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., surrendered to authorities in Arkansas earlier this month and began serving an 11-month sentence for violating his probation connected to a previous jail stint on weapons possession charges.
He has vowed to come back bigger and better after his latest incarceration and recently told fans he finds his "greatest inspiration" in his "darkest hours". But T.I. will face strict new probation rules when he is released in 2011 - court documents, obtained by TMZ.com, show the rapper will have to apply for a judge's permission to leave his native Georgia and the request will only be granted if he can prove it is for "verified employment within the United States".
He will only be allowed to leave his home state for seven days at a time and won't be allowed to travel abroad, ruining any chance of promoting or performing any new material across the globe. T.I. will also be banned from driving and he is expected to participate in a drug and alcohol testing and treatment program upon his release.
