Hugh Hefner Regained Control of His Playboy Business Empire

Hugh Hefner has regained control of his Playboy business empire in a massive multi-million dollar deal with shareholders. The publishing mogul, who set up the company more than 50 years ago, has been involved in months of negotiations to regain a majority stake in the firm.

The 84 year old has now reportedly offered up $207 million to take increased shares in Playboy, according to TMZ.com. The Playboy Enterprises encompasses the monthly magazine, Playboy-branded TV and radio shows, casinos and merchandising.

"With the completion of this transaction, Playboy will come full circle, returning to its roots as a private company," Hefner said. "The brand resonates today as clearly as at any time in its 57-year history. I believe this agreement will give us the resources and flexibility to return Playboy to its unique position and to further expand our business around the world."

Revived The Investigation into The Murder of Rap Legend Notorious B.I.G.

Revived The Investigation into The Murder of Rap Legend Notorious B.I.G.

Police in California have reportedly revived the investigation into the murder of rap legend Notorious B.I.G., 13 years after he was gunned down in Los Angeles. The hip-hop star, real name Christopher Wallace, was shot dead in L.A. in March, 1997. An investigation was launched immediately after the fatal shooting but the matter remains unsolved.

Various conspiracy theories have linked his death to the East Coast/West Coast rap rivalry involving former Death Row Records mogul Marion Suge Knight and his top artist Tupac Shakur, who was shot and killed less than a year before Biggie's death.

Officers at the Los Angeles Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are now said to be actively pursuing new leads relating to the case and working closely with the L.A. County District Attorney's Office, according to CNN.com.

A law enforcement source tells the network the probe was "reinvigorated" months ago as a result of new information.

Nicole Kidman Has Opened Up about Her Views on Marriage

Nicole Kidman has opened up about her views on marriage in a frank new interview with actress Jennifer Anniston. The "Moulin Rouge!" beauty sat down for a candid chat with her "Just Go With It" co-star Aniston for the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine.

Kidman tells Aniston about her search for a perfect husband, and reveals she found her ideal mate when she met her partner Keith Urban back in 2005. She says, "You know how you dream as a girl; I'm one of those people. I would meet a guy, then I would imagine myself married and with kids within the first hour. (When I first met Urban) I remember thinking, 'Oh my God, if you ever gave me a man like that, I promise I would be completely devoted for the rest of my life'. Something that wild. I remembered praying after I met him that I'd meet somebody, if not him, like him."

The couple married in 2006 and are parents to a daughter, Sunday Rose.

Sharon Osbourne Rejects to Admit Affair With Make-Up Artist

Sharon Osbourne Rejects to Admit Affair With Make-Up Artist

Sharon Osbourne constantly has to reassure her rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne she's not having an affair with her longtime make-up artist. The rock matriarch has used the same man to prep her for photoshoots and TV spots for years, and he's become one of her closest confidants - but she insists the relationship is purely platonic.

She says, "My husband still thinks that I'm having an affair... I would say, 'No, he has a partner, he's really not into me.'" But Sharon admits her hellraising husband is suspicious despite her incessant denials. And she even set up a meeting to introduce Ozzy to his partner in hopes to ease the tension.

She explains, "At the end I said, 'Please bring your partner, let's have a meeting with Ozzy and get this out in the open.' So he comes, he brings his partner. Ozzy's giving him the once over and he goes, 'What do you do?' He says, 'I'm an actor.' He goes, 'See! They paid you to be here! You aren't friends with him! You probably don't even know him.' They held, they kissed. (Ozzy) didn't believe it."

David Arquette Enters Rehab

It seems that David Arquette wants to start 2011 as a sober man. He has checked into rehab during the holiday weekend, his representative confirms. The actor partied at Beacher's Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel on New Year's Eve before entering a live-in facility, TMZ reports.

While his representative says "no further information" would be released, a source reveals that David needs help with alcohol and other issues. "He is in there for drinking and depression, not hard drugs. Rehab was inevitable," says the source of the "Pushing Daisies" star who split from his wife Courteney Cox in October 2010. "He is dealing with a broken heart. He can't handle all the changes in his life. All his inner demons came out."

He reportedly took this move for the sake of his family as another source dishes, "He's trying to win Courteney back, and he turned back to drinking again out of frustration. He is doing this to show her he means it and will do anything for her and Coco. He wants his family life back. It's been so hard on him."

Previously when having an interview on Howard Stern's radio show, the 39 year old revealed that his psychologist, whom he sees once a week, believed he was having a "nervous breakdown". He additionally admitted he'd been "drinking a lot" following his failed marriage revelation.

Despite announcing their separation, David Arquette and Courteney Cox who tied the knot on June 12, 1999 have not planned to divorce yet. The couple has a daughter together, 7-year-old Coco Riley Arquette.

Elton John Glad Be A First-time Father

Elton John Glad Be A First-time Father

Sir Elton John has spoken of his joy at becoming a first-time father, insisting the arrival of his baby son has fulfilled his longtime wish to become a parent. The 63-year-old singer and his partner David Furnish welcomed little Zachary Jackson Levon on Christmas Day via a surrogate mother.

The "Rocket Man" reveals he began making plans to start a family after the couple was denied the chance to adopt a child called Lev and his brother Artyom from the Ukraine in 2009. And he is delighted to have finally achieved the dream of becoming a dad following the birth of baby Zachary.

He tells Us Weekly, "For many years we have talked about fulfilling one of our greatest wishes by becoming parents. And now this wish has been granted to us, we feel so blessed and lucky." While Furnish insists the new arrival doesn't mean they will cut contact with the Ukrainian boys, revealing they have been working hard to help the youngsters find a loving home.

He adds, "Although Ukranian law does not permit Elton and I to adopt Lev and Artyom, we are determined to give them the best chance of living a happy and healthy life with a loving Ukranian family. The arrival of our son has done nothing but strengthen our resolve to help these two wonderful children. We are, however, constrained by Ukranian policy and legal procedure, and this is why for the past 12 months we have retained a leading Ukranian law firm to assist us in this process."

Joe Francis Separates From Wife

Joe Francis Separates From Wife

"Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis and his wife of seven weeks have separated, according to U.S. reports. The filmmaker and producer insists the reports are "false" but friends tell UsMagazine.com that Christina McLarty has moved out of the couple's Los Angeles home.

"Things completely changed in the relationship and it just became painful," a source close to the couple says, "They are not sure if they are going to divorce yet. They're just taking some time apart."

The source added, "The rumors are true despite the rep's denial, but that's because he's hoping to reconcile with her. It's just a spat. They've turned to friends for counsel."

The couple tied the knot in November at Francis' estate in Punta Mita, Mexico. In an interview with Us, Francis said in August that his friends Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom had inspired him to marry. "Khloe and Lamar make an amazing couple. You see their energy together is real and true love," he said. "My fiancee and I are the best of friends, just like Khloe and Lamar, and the next step for us to go down the aisle is only natural!"

Kelly Osbourne has vowed to quit posting on microblogging website Twitter.com after an online war-of-words with her ex-boyfriend Luke Worrall. The pop singer-turned-reality TV star dumped model Worrall in July, but admits she is still broken-hearted over their split.

She took to her page on Twitter on Tuesday, December 28 to launch a furious rant at Worrall, accusing him of sleeping with dozens of women since the break-up. She writes, "Don't think I have ever felt so stupid, he made a fool of me, going to be off Twitter for a while, never felt heart brake (sic) like this in my life."

Singer/songwriter Teena Marie Has Died

Singer/songwriter Teena Marie Has Died

Singer/songwriter Teena Marie has died. She was 54. Born Mary Christine Brockert in California in March, 1956, the Grammy Award-nominated star found fame as a protegee of late funk legend Rick James.

As Tina Marie Brockert, she landed a role on TV show "The Beverly Hillbillies" as a child, but her career really took off in the mid-1970s when she signed to Motown Records. As a label artist, she came to the attention of James, who produced her debut album "Wild and Peaceful". The album featured Teena Marie's first big hit, "I'm Just a Sucker for Your Love".

By her third album, 1980's "Irons in the Fire", Teena Marie was writing and producing all her own tunes. The album featured her first top 40 hit, "Need Your Lovin' ". She followed that success by performing "Fire & Desire" with her mentor James on his cult album "Street Sounds". Her solo Motown hits included "Square Biz" and "It Must be Magic".

She also made music industry history in the early 1980s when she took her record label executives at Motown to court over a contract issue - the battle resulted in new laws that made it illegal for a record company to keep an artist under contract without releasing new material. She subsequently left Motown and signed to Epic Records, where she recorded the hits "Fix It", "Shadow Boxing", "Lovergirl" and "Out on a Limb".

The record label and Teena Marie parted company in 1990 and the singer/songwriter spend over a decade behind the scenes and out of the spotlight, devoting herself to her daughter Alia Rose. She returned to the limelight in 2004 after signing to rap label Cash Money Records' Classics spin-off label and released her comeback album, "La Dona".

She ended the decade by releasing the acclaimed Congo Square on Stax/Concord Records in 2009. The album featured the song "Can't Last a Day", a duet with Faith Evans.

As WENN went to press there were no details of Teena Marie's death, which was confirmed by manager Mike Gardner.

Taylor Swift Praised by Selena Gomez

Taylor Swift Praised by Selena Gomez

Taylor Swift is a great Christmas gift giver, according to best pal Selena Gomez - she hunts for the perfect present in antiques malls. Gomez admits they both try to top each other with gift ideas at Christmas, but "Love Story" singer Swift always comes out on top. She says, "She gives, like, a box of different knick-knacks... and one year she bought me, like, a painting of us."

In another news related to celebrity Chrismas gift, Scottish singer Paolo Nutini gave his mum a Christmas to remember after surprising her with the keys to a brand new sports car. The "New Shoes" hitmaker was excited to spend his first big pay cheques after shooting to fame and decided to treat his mother Linda to a TVR Chimaera as thanks for her support.

But they had to arrange for some extra adjustment to the pedals, as his mother's too tiny to reach them. He tells Scottish newspaper the Daily Record, "The biggest amount of money I've ever spent on a Christmas pressie was on a red TVR for my mum. Unfortunately, she was too short for the pedals so she had to get some extenders. I think I was hoping to use it myself sometime."

Kimberley Walsh Has Criticized Elizabeth Hurley

Kimberley Walsh Has Criticized Elizabeth Hurley

Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh has criticized Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne for publicly flirting on Twitter.com prior to their romance - insisting it was unfair on their former partners. "Austin Powers" star Hurley met cricket ace Warne earlier this year and struck up a friendly relationship, posting messages on the microblogging website revealing he's her "favorite Australian" and suggestively saying her dog "sends you a special lick and says he'd like to put his silky head on your shoulder".

This month, Britain's News of the World revealed Hurley had spent two nights with Warne at a London hotel, and she subsequently announced she parted from her husband Arun Nayar "a few months ago" after almost four years of marriage. Warne also announced he has split from wife Simone Callahan, the mother of his three children.

British singer Walsh admits she was shocked by the outlandish messages Hurley and Warne were sending each other prior to the scandal - because she'd never want such personal matters made public. In her weekly column for Britain's OK! magazine, she writes, "Flirty Tweets between Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne have been published in the papers. I really have no idea why you'd Tweet something that can be read by others instead of texting them!"

"Why do you want the whole world to know things that should be kept between the two of you? It must be hard for their former partners, because no matter what the situation, you don't want to know things like that."

Rep of Garrett Hedlund Denied The 'Tron Legacy' Star Caught on Camera Puffing

A representative for Garrett Hedlund has vehemently denied the "Tron Legacy" star has been caught on camera puffing on a cannabis joint - insisting the actor "would never smoke pot in front of" photographers.

The 26 year old was pictured smoking a large, rolled up cigarette in a video back in August while he was filming new movie "On the Road" with Kristen Stewart in Montreal, Canada. The footage shows Hedlund breathing in the smoke before passing the cigarette to an unidentified female, who also takes a puff, prompting rumors it contained more than just tobacco.

But a spokesperson for Hedlund is adamant the actor was not using marijuana, telling TMZ.com, "He would never smoke pot in front of all those paparazzi."
